Meet our Dedicated Team of Veterinary Technicians and Receptionists
Nikki, A senior technician, has been with the practice since 2000. She is a lifetime resident of central PA, majored in Dairy and Animal science at Penn State, and gained her small animal experience while volunteering at a veterinary hospital while in high school. Nikki resides in Philipsburg with her husband and daughter. Her furry family consists of 2 dogs; George and Buddy, 3 cats, and 3 chickens and a guinea pig named Crispy. When not at work she enjoys camping, hiking, traveling, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Along with her duties as a senior technician, Nikki is our nutritional counselor keeping current with the latest developments in veterinary prescription diets, and is our Accounts Manager.

Billie is a Certified Veterinary Technician, first joined our practice in 2003 as a part time employee while completing her internship. She became a full time employee in 2004 after graduating from Wilson College with a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medical Technology. Billie grew up in central PA where she and her family have a strong background in the dairy industry. Billie and her husband reside in Howard and are kept very busy by their daughter Grace, dog Piper, and cat Denali. In her roles as Practice Manager and Head Veterinary Technician here at SCVH, Billie oversees the inventory and purchasing of all medical supplies and products, client services and kennel procedures.

MaryLou joined our practice in October 2014 after retiring from a full-time position in the medical industry. She first walked through our doors in 1993 as a client and now works part time at the front desk. She currently she has a dog, Fiona, and two cats, Sparkle and Little Kitty; and five gerbils. She lives in Bellefonte with her husband, Ron, and two grown children, Katie and John. Mary Lou enjoys going to flea markets and yard sales and reading in her spare time.

Christa returned to our practice in July of 2016 after 16 years in Pittsburgh as our Office Manager. She graduated from PSU in 1994 with a BS degree in Animal Bioscience., and worked as a technician at SCVH until the fall of 2000. She resides in Bellefonte with her husband, 3 children, 2 dogs, and 3 cats. Her primary responsibilities are keeping the front office running smoothly, book keeping, and working with our website and social media accounts to help keep our clients informed and excited about their pet's healthcare.

Courtney Is a 2016 graduate of Juniata College in Huntingdon with a degree in Biology. She was accepted into the veterinary program at Kansas State, and has been working with us on her breaks from school. In her free time, she enjoys running, spending time with her boyfriend, and doing anything outdoors.

Kelsey You might recognize Kelsey from her days as a young child at the veterinary hospital. She is Dr. Kocher's oldest daughter, and joined our practice part time. Kelsey graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Andrew's University in North Carolina. When she is not working at SCVH, she works at Stone Fence Farm riding and working with horses. Kelsey is the proud momma of Letty, a one year old Border Collie and Summer, a 13 year old thoroughbred horse.
Alyssa, originally from Michigan, relocated to Warriors Mark PA with her husband in 2021 when she accepted a full-time assistant position with our practice. Alyssa is currently enrolled in Penn Fosters Veterinary Technician Associate Program and will tentatively finish next year. She is a mom to a 2-year-old black Labrador Retriever named Benelli. Alyssa enjoys taking Benelli for long walks in the woods as well as hunting with her husband.
